About
Dr. Monalisa Lopes is an Associate Professor at the Department of Social Sciences, the Graduate Program in Sociology at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), and the National Professional Master’s in Sociology Network (ProfSocio-UFC). She holds a Bachelor’s (2008), Master’s (2011), and PhD (2016) in Sociology from UFC. Currently, she serves as:
Tutor for the Tutorial Education Program (PET) in Social Sciences
Deputy Coordinator of the “Political Science and Party Organization” research line for the Electoral Court of Ceará’s Research Groups
Coordinator of the Laboratory for Studies on Politics, Elections and Media (LEPEM)
Her research focuses on Political Communication, analyzing Election Campaigns, Free Electoral Airtime (HGPE), Gender and Politics. She participates in the Red de Politólogas network, which promotes cooperation among women in Political Science across Latin America.
Research Interests: Political Communication, Election Campaigns, Free Electoral Airtime (HGPE), Political Narratives, Gender and Politics. Currently researching “Antipetismo nas eleições 2018: uma análise das narrativas políticas.”
