The six values listed align with the area’s evaluation dimensions at CAPES and with the objectives of UFC’s PDI (student development, knowledge/research production, promotion of a culture of innovation and intellectual property, and social impact and relevance).
MISSIONThe mission of the PPGS/UFC is to produce and disseminate relevant scientific knowledge in the field of sociology, training professionals committed to democratic values to work in the country’s strategic dimensions within the context of a globalized world.
VISION FOR THE FUTURE
To be a nationally recognized program with international presence, distinguished
by the quality of its research and teaching in the development of excellent professionals capable
of responding to contemporary social challenges.
