About
Adjunct Professor in the Department of Social Sciences and the Graduate Program in Sociology at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) and the Master’s Degree in Political Science at the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI). PhD in Political Science from the Institute of Social and Political Studies of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (IESP-UERJ), formerly of IUPERJ. He completed a research internship (doctoral sandwich program) at the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA) in La Paz in 2013. He holds a master’s degree in Political Science from IUPERJ (2009) and a bachelor’s degree (undergraduate and bachelor’s degrees) in Social Sciences from UFC (2006). He completed a postdoctoral internship at the Institute of International Relations of the University of Brasília (IREL/UnB) in 2015. Spring 2025 Bacardi Scholar (University of Florida).
Research Interests:
State Formation and Transformation; Democracy; Latin American Politics; International Politics; Qualitative Comparative Methodology (QCA/Fuzzy-Sets).
